The Opportunity

Join a leading neuroscience laboratory exploring how small populations of neurons in sensory and motor circuits encode the visual world and shape cognition and behaviour. This position will play a key role in a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to advancing our understanding of brain function through high-quality and innovative research. This position will contribute to exciting projects involving multi-electrode array recordings in behaving animals using techniques including electrophysiology psychophysics computational modelling and advanced quantitative analysis.

This position is responsible for developing and conducting experiments analysing neurophysiological data and contributing to the design and delivery of visual stimuli using programming environments such as MATLAB. Experience in behavioural training of animals and neurophysiological data collection will be essential to the successful delivery of the research program. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to peer-reviewed publications present at conferences and engage in ongoing professional development through active involvement in the labs research activities.

We are seeking someone with an honours or doctoral qualification in neuroscience or a closely related field and a strong background in signal processing programming and electrophysiological techniques.
