Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. a proud member of the Carlson Construction Group is seeking a Safety Manager with experience in Land Marine Subcontracts or Mechanical disciplines to join our local team in North Vancouver. Youll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and success of exciting upcoming projects including major marine terminals bridge foundations and large-scale infrastructure upgrades that will shape the future of BCs coastline and communities.

Responsibilities
- Maintain safety records and monitor incident trends.
- Review documentation for accuracy and provide feedback.
- Support safety planning for new projects and conduct worker orientations.
- Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Monitor compliance of workers and subcontractors; enforce safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections hazard assessments and incident investigations.
- Keep management informed of safety issues affecting project work.
- Promote and uphold safe working conditions across all sites.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of field safety experience preferably in industrial construction.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Results-driven with strong organizational abilities.
- Willingness to work shifts and travel outside the Lower Mainland as needed.
Skills / Abilities / Attributes
- Preferred professional safety designation (e.g. CRSP RCSO CHSC CSS CIH or ROH).
- Occupational First Aid Level 3 certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with BCCSAs C.O.R. program and auditing processes.
- High personal professional and ethical standards.
- Initiative sound judgment and a proactive approach.
- Excellent relationship-building analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong prioritization and time-management skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the safety field.
