The Social Inclusion Support Worker is part of Seniors and Disability Services within Cumberland City Council which provides a range of quality direct services including information advocacy carer support nutrition services (home delivered and centre based meals) transport and activities events and social groups to maintain overall wellbeing and independence. By providing a committed approach to person centred essential support the team seeks to promote social inclusion encourage an enhanced quality of life and increase capacity for seniors and people with disability to participate in the community.
The Social Inclusion Support Worker is responsible for providing care and support to older people or people with disability who require assistance with daily tasks. These services may be provided in private homes at Council venues or in the community and aim to improve their quality of life.

Salary information: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
What youll need to have for this role:
Council adheres to the principles of a child safe organisation and is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people and fully supports the aims and objectives of NSW Child Protection Legislation and associated provisions. Council will implement all necessary measures to ensure a safe and supportive environment which endeavours to promote child protection practices.
