Job Description

Maintenance Technician II
Summary:This position will physically operate and maintain the buildings equipment and grounds so that they provide the finest possible non-verbal presentation of the gospel. A maintenance technician II will have two to three maintenance skill focus areas of plumbing electrical mechanical carpentry or equipment repair.

Responding to the unexpected needs of a guest in a prompt and professional manner is important. All staff members are expected to represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community and be able to work with and minister to the volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend our camp.
Job Specific Working Conditions:
Located in the scenic Appalachian Mountains of Brevard North Carolina Carolina Point offers a unique opportunity for outdoor adventure and community involvement in a small-town setting. We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician II to join our facilities team and help ensure the smooth operation of our camp.
Maintenance Tech II will assist with general repairs and maintenance including plumbing electrical work HVAC waste water and water and other facilities needs. Candidates should have hands-on experience in at least one of these trades and demonstrate the ability to contribute effectively to a team environment.
At Carolina Point we prioritize creating a safe distraction-free environment where all guests can encounter Jesus Christ. A strong work ethic a willingness to learn and a heart for service are essential qualities for this role.
- Carolina Point YL Camp is located 30 Minutes outside of the nearest town Brevard NC. There is no staff housing available on property and staff are expected to commute.
- All full-time staff are eligible to recieve a monthly housing stipend - currently $350/month
