Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking highly motivated creative and skilled candidates for an Entry-Level Fabrication Specialist - Hand Finisher to join our production team environment which will support our Boeing manufacturing facility in Helena Montana on 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm-2:00 am).

This position will work closely with manufacturing operations and assembly to produce hard metal airplane part details and assemblies for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

The ideal candidate will have a background in hand finishing parts use of hand tools mechanical ability and machining while working in a collaborating and teaming environment with the ability to improve the daily work and quality improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

• Hand finish and edge break of aluminum stainless & titanium production parts.
• Utilize and follow standardized work and step details required for production parts and assemblies.
• Assists real time problem solving to understand and determine the true root cause to eliminate all defects and improve the product process or system.
• Assists and verifies that all parts are inspected prior to closing an operation so we do not pass on any defects to our downstream customers
• Support a culture that is committed to continuous improvement
• Hold ourselves and team accountable to Boeing Behaviors and Values
• Be part of an environment of effective two-way communication (within team and across departments or shifts)
• Function as a team to work together to meet daily performance targets and achieve higher levels of safety quality and efficiency

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Experience using hand and/or air (pneumatic) tools
• Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing bending kneeling and lifting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Minimum 3 months experience in Aerospace Mechanics Fabrication or Manufacturing experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $45000 $46000
