Job Description Summary
Responsible for the coordination planning preparation presentation and evaluation of all learning activities in any given course. The instructor must remain current in the discipline area and continually explore teaching methods and strategies to engage learners organize and plan instructional content that accommodates diverse learning styles and devise appropriate assessment tools that monitor student learning outcomes. The instructor is also responsible for participating in related activities to include professional development curriculum design and other activities that contribute to the department division and College. The instructor performs all other duties as directed by the Department Chair Division Dean EVP /Provost or the President or designee.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university. At least one year of teaching experience preferably with youth in an educational recreational or camp setting. Experience implementing high-impact teaching practices preferred AREA SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Instructors will teach the following courses Digital Game Coding This course is designed for young learners from 2nd to 8th grade who are eager to explore the fundamentals of coding while creating their very own video games. Students will be introduced to user-friendly coding platforms like Scratch and other age-appropriate tools that make learning to code fun and accessible. Sports Fundamentals This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the essential skills and techniques across a variety of sports helping young athletes build a strong foundation in physical fitness and teamwork. Entrepreneurship This course is designed for students in grades 2nd through 8th. This class introduces young minds to the exciting world of entrepreneurship where creativity innovation and business skills come together to turn ideas into reality. Spanish This Course is tailored for students in grades 2nd through 8th. This class is an engaging introduction to the Spanish language and culture designed to make learning fun interactive and accessible for young learners. Architecture and LEGO Building: Design & Create This course is designed for students in grades 2nd through 8th. This hands-on course blends creativity with engineering as students learn the fundamentals of architectural design while building with LEGO bricks. Arts Around the World Journey across continents and discover the rich tapestry of global art in our Art Around the World class designed for students in grades 2nd through 8th. This course invites young artists to explore diverse cultures and traditions through hands-on art projects inspired by different regions of the world Math Elementary & Middle This course is designed to strengthen core math skills and introduce key concepts to students preparing for middle or high school. Through interactive lessons hands-on practice real-word applications and a focus on problem-solving skills students will deepen their understanding of foundational math topics. Language Arts Elementary & Middle This course is designed to develop students reading comprehension writing vocabulary grammar and critical thinking skills through the analysis of literary genres and assigned reading passages. Students will engage in discussions and presentations that build their oral presentation skills.
