Salary: 32070 - 34359 per annum (Pro rata for part time)

Working Hours:37 per week

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time Health and Wellbeing Officer (male only applicants) to join our existing County wide teen health team on a permanent basis. Teen Health is a universal service within the Targeted Family Help Service which is commissioned by Public Health to support the delivery of the Healthy Together Programme for 11-19 year olds educated in Leicestershire. Teen Health supports Young People in Leicestershire to make healthier choices to sustain healthy positive relationships and maintain good emotional health.

  • Do you enjoy liaising and networking with other agencies to ensure that young people are supported in all areas of their lives

Things you can expect to do in this role include:

  • Liaising with key individuals in schools to ensure that the Teen Health offer is accessible and promoted to young people
  • Spending up to one day per week in your allocated schools to provide one to one support and group support
  • Delivering sexual health advice and drop ins including condom registration events and distribution
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of groups and events in the community for young people in line with the teen health local priority areas
  • Working with young people to complete assessments of their needs and develop plans to help support and achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Promoting Safeguarding and reporting safeguarding concerns and working within national legislation and local policy to ensure that young people are safeguarded and accessing the correct level of support.
  • Supporting the wider Teen Health team across the County to ensure that delivery is equitable and consistent for all young people in Leicestershire
  • Managing your own diary for appointments meetings group delivery and recording all interventions with young people

Please note this is a county wide position and school locations are not yet confirmed.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
