The Echo Technologist performs diagnostic test that bounces high-frequency sounds against the heart and translates the echoes as video screen images.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound procedures
- Maintain ultrasound equipment
- Document findings and coordinates results with radiologists
- Assist physicians with biopsies and semi-surgical procedures
Requirements:
- Associates degree or its equivalent; eligible to take the national exam given by the ARDMS. Must pass within two years of hire.
- Current Certification through Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) or registration through ARDMS strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR certification required.
