Position Summary
Provide needed information and support to Centers development efforts through gifts grants and other fundraising; Promotion of additional effective community and campus engaged activities; and Assume additional responsibilities as needed which may include aspects of other programs and further development of Center activities.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Outstanding administrative skills including organizational planning and development; Grant writing/managing experience; Ability to independently plan manage and meet deadlines for multiple projects with minimal supervision and a positive attitude; Ability to work well with Center constituencies including faculty staff administrators students and community representatives; Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as attention to detail and demonstrated experience working as an effective team member; Flexible adaptable and skilled at balancing multiple tasks and working well under pressure; Established commitment to and experience in American Indian Studies and/or working with American Indian communities and students.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Knowledge of current trends in American Indian Studies and/or tribal community organization; Knowledge of North Carolina communities and/or history.
