Job Description

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Environmental or a related Engineering discipline
  • Must be a Professional Engineer () in good standing and registered with APEGA. Applicants in a different Canadian jurisdiction eligible for Inter-Provincial Mobility (IPMA) with APEGA may be considered. Registration with APEGA must be obtained prior to the commencement of employment
  • A minimum of 7 years progressively responsible experience in arterial design and construction required including experience with:
    • Project management and the Citys procurement process
    • Preparation and review of engineering designs related to the installation of municipal infrastructure
    • Preparation of development servicing agreements and contracts
    • Construction and inspection of municipal improvements

This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise to safeguard the Citys interests and ensure the delivery of essential public infrastructure.

As the Senior Enforcement Engineer you will play a critical role in completing the installation of public infrastructure in cases where developers default on their servicing agreements will be responsible for overseeing defaulted infrastructure projects from the initial assessment and scope definition through to design construction and final turnover. You will work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that essential infrastructure is completed in a timely and compliant manner meeting the high standards of the City of Edmonton.
