A leading transport and logistics company is looking for an experienced HR Manager with strong expertise in human resources strategy policy development payroll administration and labour relations to join their team in Parow Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing HR policies overseeing recruitment and employee development ensuring compliance with labour legislation and fostering a high-performance culture across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain job requirements and descriptions for all positions.
Oversee recruitment selection and onboarding processes.
Implement and manage training orientation and employee development programs.
Manage payroll processes using HR Premier and Sage VIP Payroll systems.
Administer compensation and benefits ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
Oversee performance management and disciplinary processes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant labour legislation and bargaining council agreements.
Maintain accurate HR records and prepare statistical and compliance reports.
Act as the link between management and employees addressing grievances and workplace issues.
Represent the company at CCMA Labour Court and other personnel-related hearings.
Analyse HR metrics and trends to recommend improvements to policies and practices.
Oversee employee wellness safety and health programs.
Manage pension and provident fund portfolios.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Psychology Labour Relations or Human Resources.
Minimum of 5 years industry-related HR management experience.
Proficiency in HR Premier Processing and Sage VIP Payroll.
Strong knowledge of collective agreements (SARPBAC MIBCO) and relevant legislation (LRA BCEA EEA SDA SDLA OHSA BBBEE).
Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills.
Experience submitting UIF COIDA EE SDL BEE and Workplace Skills Plans/Reports online.
Excellent communication organisational and problem-solving skills.
