Job Description
Position: Project Manager PLC SCADA and Building Management Systems (BMS)
Location: Liberty SC
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning coordination and execution of complex PLC SCADA and Building Management System (BMS) installations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented hands-on leader who can successfully manage technical projects from inception to completion ensuring on-time delivery budget adherence and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution

Oversee all aspects of assigned projects from acceptance through close-out.

Review project requirements timelines and technical specifications ensuring alignment with customer expectations.

Collaborate with operations engineering programming and commissioning teams to coordinate schedules and deliverables.
Contractor & Vendor Management

Select and manage qualified electrical subcontractors through competitive bid processes.

Enforce subcontract agreements ensuring compliance with scope safety and quality requirements.

Coordinate with vendors and panel builders for materials delivery schedules and site storage arrangements.
Financial Management

Work closely with administration to prepare accurate project billings and change orders.

Monitor job costs and labor reports initiating corrective actions when necessary.
Communication & Reporting

Maintain proactive communication with customers contractors and internal teams regarding project status milestones and issues.

Conduct periodic site visits attend job meetings and provide documented progress reports.
Quality Assurance & Safety

Ensure all installations meet company and industry quality standards.

Enforce safety protocols and verify commissioning documentation.
Team Leadership & Mentorship

Support recruitment onboarding and mentoring of junior project managers.

Share technical expertise in installation and commissioning practices.
Close-Out & Handover

Oversee commissioning owner training and final documentation for project handover.

Ensure accurate as-built documentation is transferred to engineering/programming teams.
Qualifications

Proven experience managing PLC SCADA and/or BMS installation projects.

Strong technical understanding of electrical and mechanical installation methods.

Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors vendors and multiple concurrent projects.

Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings specifications and contracts.

Willingness to travel up to 75% for high-profile customer projects across multiple regions.
