Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Columbia SC 29201
Compensation: $80000$90000 base salary Sign-on Bonus Full Benefits
Overview:
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected family-owned holding company with deep roots in South Carolinas business and civic community. The Senior Accountant will manage core accounting functions across multiple operating companies while also providing light HR coordination and office administration support. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor daily cash balances across multiple accounts and complete monthly bank account reconciliations
Oversee accounts payable including invoice coding approval and biweekly check processing
Manage accounts receivable collections and invoicing for multiple entities
Process payroll journal entries and coordinate onboarding for new employees
Prepare journal entries and perform income statement analysis during month-end close
Support tax-related matters and partner with the CFO for GAAP audits and compliance projects
Serve as point of contact for office-related matters including vendor coordination and visitor assistance
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration (Associates degree with extensive experience considered)
35 years of progressive accounting experience
QuickBooks Enterprise experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a multi-entity environment
