Job Description
Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Coos Bay OR
Pay Range: $35.00 to $55.00 per hour based on experience (non-negotiable)
Shift: As assigned 80 hours per two-week pay period
Weekend Requirements: Possible
On-Call: Possible
Position Overview
The CT Technologist performs a variety of computed tomography scans for patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatric patients. This role applies principles theories and techniques of CT scanning to produce accurate and reliable diagnostic results. The position requires a high degree of technical skill patient care abilities and adaptability in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans according to physician orders and department protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation
- Operate and maintain CT equipment in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other staff for coordinated patient care
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies
- Provide leadership in workflow efficiency within the department
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program in Radiology
- Current ARRT and OBMI certifications
- ARRT certification in CT or ability to obtain within six months of hire
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Image Wisely and Image Gently pledge certifications (obtainable within 30 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelors degree in a related field
- One year of CT experience in a clinical setting
