Radiologic Technologist Ultrasound Services (Part-Time)
Work Location
Bureau of Prisons
Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Greenville
100 U.S. Hwy 40 and 4th Street
Greenville Illinois 62246.
- Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Clearance Requirements: National Background Check with Inquires Fingerprints and Drug Screen.
- Type of Employment: Part Time Onsite 8 hours per month.
- Estimate Pay: $33.19 $38.28/hour.
Working Hours:
Work hours will normally be between 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. that will consist of one 8-hour session per month or two 4-hour sessions per month. (Not to exceed 8 hours per month).
Summary:
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking a certified Radiologic Technologist to provide ultrasound imaging services for Adults in Custody at FCI Greenville. Services include general vascular and echocardiogram ultrasounds. This is a part-time contract position with limited monthly hours.
Qualifications
- Fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist or equivalent.
- Certified as a Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
- Licensed as a Radiology Technologist by the State of Illinois.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certified in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Three (3) Letters of Reference

The contractor is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty (scrub uniforms are approved). The attire worn shall also be appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contract employee will be performing.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound procedures and submit images for interpretation.
- Ensure interpretations are completed by a board-certified radiologist or cardiologist.
- Submit typed reports within one week of the procedure.
- Verbally report abnormal findings to the Clinical Director.
- Document each patient encounters using an official consultation form.
- Maintain compliance with federal health and safety standards.
