KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors Seniors and Graduate students seeking science engineering and cybersecurity development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our 2025 Intern class.

Job Summary
During this internship you will gain hands-on experience across cybersecurity system administration and IoT engineering. You will assist in identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities in IoT systems to assess real-world risks and addition you will support system administration tasks such as infrastructure maintenance troubleshooting and support. You will also collaborate with the IoT engineering team on device configuration vulnerability testing and documentation efforts. This internship offers a unique opportunity to build practical skills in a multidisciplinary environment while contributing to meaningful technical projects.
Roles and Responsibilities.
Experience with PythonMatLab C Java or similar coding languages.
Learn and apply state-of-the-art scientific coding practices
Identify and exploit security vulnerabilities in IoT systems to assess real-world risks and potential exposure
Experienced with Microsoft Excel
Assist with system administration tasks to support infrastructure stability and performance
Provides technical support in engineering science IT or related field working in such areas as research design development testing or manufacturing process improvement.
Performs simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. Work is checked in progress or on completion. Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non-routine work may be reviewed in progress.
Ability to interpret complex information in a non-technical and engaging manner.
Identify problematic areas in data and conduct the necessary research to provide a lasting solution.
Basic Qualifications
Major field of study: Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or any other scientific/engineering/technical degree with appropriate experience.
Must be a US citizen
Must pass a security pre-screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
Computer programming experience with Python and/or C/C with at least one programming class completed.
Experience working with lab electronics including spectrum analyzers signal generators oscilloscopes power supplies etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Currently studying for cybersecurity certifications
Available to work up to 40 hours a week
