We are looking for an organised detail-focused and proactive Legal Assistant to join our clients Private Client department. You will provide vital support to our fee earners ensuring their clients receive an exceptional level of service and matters are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing calls including scheduling appointments liaising with third parties processing payments and providing clear courteous updates to clients.
- Open maintain and archive electronic files in accordance with record-keeping policies.
- Prepare and issue invoices promptly.
- Draft letters and legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail under supervision.
- Accurately log time spent on matters within the electronic case management system.
- Schedule and track important dates and deadlines through the case management system.
- Keep electronic files organised current and compliant with firm standards.
- Carry out general administrative duties including scanning photocopying and filing.
- Participate in the telephone rota to ensure all external calls are answered promptly and professionally.
- Welcome and assist clients visiting the office ensuring a positive first impression.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to fee earners in the Private Client department and support other departments when required.
- Adhere to all office policies procedures and compliance requirements.
