Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Solar Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the design development and implementation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential commercial and utility-scale projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented innovative and experienced in the technical and practical aspects of solar power systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and engineer solar PV systems including rooftop ground-mount and hybrid systems.
  • Conduct site assessments and energy yield simulations (using tools such as PVsyst Helioscope or similar).
  • Create electrical single-line diagrams layouts and system specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers procurement and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate components (inverters panels batteries etc.) based on technical and economic criteria.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations codes (NEC IEC etc.) and safety standards.
  • Perform performance analysis system testing and troubleshooting post-installation.
  • Support permitting processes and coordinate with utilities for grid interconnection.
  • Provide technical support during commissioning and operation phases.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Renewable Energy Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
  • 3 years of experience in solar PV system design and engineering.
  • Strong understanding of solar technologies energy storage and grid-tied/off-grid systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD PVsyst SketchUp and other solar design tools.
  • Familiarity with local and international electrical standards and permitting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively.
  • Certification from NABCEP or similar organization.
  • Experience with hybrid solar storage systems.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA and remote monitoring systems.
