Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design implementation and maintenance of our databases ensuring high availability performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Design implement and maintain databases to meet business requirements.
Perform database administration tasks including backup and recovery performance tuning and security management.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including updates patches and upgrades.
Troubleshoot database issues including performance problems and data .
Ensure database security including access control authentication and encryption.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability.
Monitor and optimize database performance including query optimization and indexing.
Collaborate with developers analysts and other stakeholders to ensure database requirements are met.
Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of database design implementation and maintenance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including data privacy and security standards.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Minimum 35 years of experience in database administration preferably with Oracle Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDA) certification.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of database design implementation and maintenance.
Experience with database performance tuning security and backup and recovery.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
