About the Role
As Nurse Unit Manager you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our 32-bed unit predominantly Surgical patients supported by a team of CNs RNs & EENs working closely with the multidisciplinary team and Visiting Medical Officers. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services and as a part of the management team you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
About You
To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset with recent management experience in a hospital setting with experience in the surgical nursing specialty area.
You will have exceptional communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent client care and customer service.
You will also bring
Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
Minimum eight years post graduate experience
Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager
Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.
Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment rostering and performance management.
Ability to effectively plan and manage financial human and capital resources.
Membership to a relevant professional organisation is desirable.

Requirements
Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
