The Vice President of Ancillary & Professional Services is responsible for the planning operations and services provided by the Ancillary & Professional Services division of Methodist Fremont Health. Assists in development of and is responsible for carrying out goals objectives plans and policies established by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Board of Directors. Participates in and supports the development and implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of Methodist Fremont Health and Methodist Health System.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
Plans and makes available resources needed to provide excellent patient care in accordance with the scope of services and plan for patient care for the above mentioned services.
- Development implementation and coordination of patient care services in the areas of responsibility and other business relationships of mutual patient interest.
- Coordinates and integrates care and services with the leadership and collaboration of Methodist Fremont Health and Methodist Health System (MHS)
In collaboration with the Medical Staff physician leadership and Methodist Fremont Health participates in the development and implementation of excellent medical practices evidence based standards patient care programs and protocols to ensure safe patient care.
- Responsible for the negotiation and management of administrative services agreements with physicians to provide clinical oversight of hospital services.
- Ensures a consistent and timely process is adhered to for compliance.
- Performs fair market value assessments on administrative service agreements on a routine and timely basis.
Ensures patient care hospital services and the conduct of staff are in compliance with all regulations governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring operations and proposing changes when needed.
- Serves as the senior leader representative on various committees and ensures the information is shared with other leaders to ensure appropriate action is taken as necessary.
- Supports the patient centered patient focused high quality standards throughout all areas of responsibility.
Monitors clinical and service related quality by active participation in the hospital/clinic wide Performance Improvement process.
- Implements and maintains ongoing measures to assess the quality of care patient satisfaction and resource utilization.
- Proactively supports and advocates for safe and cost effective process improvement in all areas of responsibility.
Motivates direct reports to be good stewards of financial people and product resources to provide safe and effective services to all patients and customers. Maintains an awareness of hospital industry trends for patient and customer service safety and cost reduction strategies.
In collaboration with the leadership team facilitates the development of an annual budget forecasting revenue expenses and capital expenditures.
- Responsible for monitoring the day to day performance of actual income/expenses to budget developing action plans to address variances and reporting such to the President and CEO.
- Duties also include ongoing management of financial statements and accounts receivable as related to areas of responsibility and other physician based business relationships.
As a member of the senior leadership team provides regular input into the planning and allocation of resources program development strategic planning and fiscal stewardship.
- Takes responsibility for supporting and furthering the goals and objectives of the organization to the staff and physicians in area of responsibility.

- Requisite knowledge of physician compensation models physician compensation negotiations contractual agreements to support the compensation models and continual monitoring of performance.
- Performs such FMV on an annual basis for each specialty in a timely manner.
- Leads the tri-annual fair market analysis process performed by a third party.
- Compliance with all state and federal laws.
- Monitoring of all regulations and legislation regarding legal structure compliance.
Responsible for the creation assessment and negotiation of business relationships ventures and new lines of businesses by initiating feasibility studies research projections and other analysis to assist the organization in decision making.
- Actively represents Methodist Fremont Health as a partner in business relationships and manages such services provided to mutual patients to ensure the highest quality safety and compliance with all hospital/system policies and practices.
- Development of a successful entrance and exit strategy associated with new business relationships.
Works collaboratively across the System to further systemness to create synergies improve patient care and reduce cost.
- Creates open and maintains routine communication with leadership across the System to maximize the opportunities available to MHS.

Education
- Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) Public Administration (MPA) or related healthcare field required.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a progressively responsible position involving broad clinical/operational responsibilities.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisor and financial management experience required.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years proven experience working with physicians in healthcare environments.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience monitoring and communicating state and federal regulatory matters affecting health care industry.
