Boeing Global Services (BGS) Quick Response Center (C13) is seeking a Loft and Modeling Design Engineer (Structural Design)at our Huntington Beach CA facility.
Job Summary
The C13 Loft and Modeling team plays three key roles within the BGS Supply Chain Engineering organization.
- Their primary responsibility is to support C13 with all design engineering tasks. This includes but is not limited to creating Catia models and shop drawings for various CNC programmed parts sheet metal components tube assemblies and weld fixtures. This work demands advanced skills in complex solid modeling working from both dimensioned and un-dimensioned drawings.
- Additionally the team provides contour data packages for all Loft or Master Dimension-defined parts when suppliers outside Boeing require this data to fabricate spare parts.
- The team also offers complex modeling and contour-related support to other Boeing organizations.
- Works under general direction.
Basic Qualifications (Must Haves)
- BS Degree Engineering or similar
- 10 years of Catia Modeling experience
- 10 years experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)
- 10 years aerospace industry exp
- 10 years of aircraft drawings exp
- Loft Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment.
- Experience CATIA V5 Part Design.
- Experience CATIA V5 Generative Shape Design.
- Experience CATIA V5 Sheet Metal Design.
