Job Description
Tri-County is seeking a Welding Certification Instructor for our growing Adult/Continuing Education Program to prepare students for specific welding certifications (e.g. AWS certifications). Tri-County will also mentor all instructors who wish to pursue becoming a Chapter 74 Vocational Instructor here in will run 10 weeks 9/10/2525 - 11/12/25 on Wednesdays from :* Cover advanced techniques industry standards code requirements and test-taking strategies relevant to the chosen certification by equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to pass certification exams and gain recognized credentials* Teaches welding/metal fabrication skills and knowledge to Adult Students MiG Tig and stick welding * Oxy/Acetylene Cutting plasma cutting* Able to follow lesson plans maintain plan books track attendance and organize class time to accomplish preparation instruction shop work and clean-up activities within the allotted time.* Demonstrates occupational materials equipment tools and processes using standard or teacher-prepared models mock-ups sketches and other instructional aids to facilitate welding/metal fabrication instruction * Instruct pupils in the appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation and use of tools machinery and equipment.* Monitors student progress and corrects/adjusts students as needed to improve understanding of Metal Joining/Welding processes.* Communicates with employers other instructors and school personnel on program status and student development.* Is capable of ordering appropriate supplies needed for instruction.* Provides supervision and extra help to students as and where needed* Performs other duties assigned by the CTE SupervisorThis description is not a complete statement of essential functions responsibilities or requirements.
