We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Assistant Stewarding Manager to join our team in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Stewarding Manager in overseeing the daytoday operations of the stewarding department ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness hygiene and organization in our establishment.
- Assist in managing and coordinating the stewarding teams daily activities and schedules
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
- Oversee inventory management including ordering supplies and equipment as needed
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas storage facilities and equipment to maintain cleanliness and functionality
- Train and mentor stewarding staff on proper cleaning techniques safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest experiences
- Assist in developing and implementing costeffective strategies to optimize resource utilization
- Respond promptly to any issues or emergencies related to stewarding operations
- Participate in the recruitment performance evaluation and professional development of stewarding staff
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by management
Qualifications :
- Minimum 35 years of experience in stewarding or related hospitality roles
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
- Food Safety Certification (e.g. ServSafe)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in inventory management systems
- Indepth knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills preferred
- Thorough understanding of hospitality industry standards and best practices
- Expertise in cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Proficiency in inventory control and cost management techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as required
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting standing for extended periods and moving around the facility
