The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager in SAP with a strong background in project management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading SAP projects from inception to completion ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP projects including planning execution monitoring and closure while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope timelines resources and budgets and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements define project objectives and establish success criteria.
- Identify and manage project risks issues and changes implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Foster strong relationships with clients stakeholders and team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide project team members promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SAP project management integrating new methodologies as appropriate.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- A bachelors or masters degree in information systems commerce accounting computer science engineering business finance and/or other related major
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the SAP domain including numerous years of hands-on functional experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of SAP project management experience covering a minimum of 2 full-cycle projects managing S4 Hana implementations would be ideal.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall).
- Experience in planning executing and closing SAP projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules and functionalities relevant to the business.
- Familiarity with SAP implementation processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project JIRA Trello).
- Understanding of data management and integration processes within SAP.
- Financial Services sector experience preferred

- Experience project managing full-cycle SAP projects
- Strong written and verbal client-facing communication and presentation skills; should be comfortable interacting with clients daily
- The ability to effectively team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with (leading) proposal writing and preparing and delivering orals presentations
- Ability to align project goals with organizational objectives and long-term strategy.

- Meticulous approach to project planning and execution to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Focus on achieving project outcomes and delivering value to the organization.

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $120500 to $216000. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and work location city.
