We have a fabulous job opportunity for a Handy Person to join our awesome team. We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers. As a business we support customers who are over 55 years old with differing support needs in a wide range of properties and grounds. As our handy person youll spend your time working in our extra care service
Typical day as a Handy Person
Doing minor or emergency repairs decorative touches or even cleaning in our properties or communal areas
Doing things like hanging curtain poles moving furniture touching up paints changing tap washers unblocking sinks mowing lawns and clearing grounds or properties.
Carrying out regular Fire Safety checks
Working with colleagues commercial partners and customers throughout your day.
Liaising with our Customer Service Centre and external contractors to report repairs outside of your remit and chase up outstanding works.
Supporting with void properties and getting these ready for new customers

About You
A team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm.
Youre multi skilled with general maintenance skills know a bit about general repairs carpentry basic plumbing and can wield a broom or paint brush!
Comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life
It would be amazing if you have been a handy person in a previous job but its not a deal breaker.
Able to use technology for our internal systems

Job details
You will work Monday to Friday 8am until 4pm but were flexible and as long as we can meet our customers needs we can flex your work patterns to suit you.
Occasionally travel outside of our service to work at one of our sister services that you may not have worked at before or when we have an all hands-on deck situation.
Youll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
