Job Description

GSK is looking to hire a Marketing Automation Manager to join our Marketing Capabilities team. This role is remote in Canada with occasional hybrid work from our Mississauga Ontario or Montral Qubec locations. This is a critical digital marketing role responsible for leading marketing automation strategies and campaign execution across Canada.


In this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing marketing automation initiatives that drive customer engagement and business results. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing sales IT analytics and compliance to deliver seamless data-driven campaigns that align with GSKs patient-centric and innovative approach. Your expertise will enable enhanced customer journeys personalized communications and measurable impact across multiple channels.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Leading the management configuration and optimization of marketing automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Veeva) to support business goals

  • Designing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns that deliver personalized and engaging customer experiences

  • Collaborating with marketing sales IT and compliance teams to ensure alignment of automation strategies with brand and regulatory requirements

  • Acting as the subject matter expert for marketing automation tools and providing guidance to internal teams on best practices

  • Monitoring campaign performance analyzing data to derive actionable insights and recommending optimizations to improve effectiveness

  • Ensuring all marketing campaigns comply with relevant data privacy laws such as GDPR CASL HIPAA and CCPA

  • Leading training sessions to upskill marketing teams and driving continuous improvement in marketing automation processes

  • Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain GSKs leadership in digital marketing innovation

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing business administration communications or related field

  • Minimum 35 years of experience in marketing automation digital marketing or related roles

  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Marketo HubSpot or similar

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Google Analytics)

  • Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and their impact on marketing automation

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines

  • Familiarity with the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is an asset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in marketing automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist MS Azure)

  • Knowledge of HTML CSS and basic web development for email and landing page customization

  • Experience working cross-functionally with compliance sales and IT teams

  • Proactive and independent problem-solving mindset within a fast-paced environment
