M24 Logistics a division of the Takealot Group is seeking a dedicated andcustomer-focused individual to join our Cape Town team as a Courier are a renowned e-commerce logistics partner specialising in B2B and B2Cwarehousing and fulfilment solutions to the local and African markets.
This position will report to the Courier Service Manager: M24 Logistics.
Role overview
In this role you will manage services and relationships with the assigned courierservice providers. Adhere to SLAs to ensure that service delivery is in accordancewith customer expectations.
The requirements for the role are:
Post Matric Qualification in logistics or relevant
At least 3 years in a distribution and 3PL environment
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage services provided by courier service providers ensuring servicelevels are met.
Plan schedule assign inspect record and organise distribution operations asper agreed customer SLAs
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the department ensuring regularreviews of SOPs and identify areas where SOPs can be improved andimplement changes accordingly.
Daily manage all assigned deliveries and highlight problems to clients andfollow through until resolved.
Daily manage interfaces to ensure alignment between courier systems andcompany systems ensuring data integrity of information used.
Report analyze record and measure all failed deliveries and problem parcelsto identify trends and root causes.
Maintaining good relationships and managing services of service providersand giving formally measured feedback
Examine claims for loss or damage and send them to the manager forapproval of processing.
Reconciling of transport account to the agreed monthly rates and ensure thatrequirements have been met and recommend payment amount to CourierManager.
Continuously seeking innovative courier solutions for our clients to provide a
more encompassed service to our clients.
The required competencies are:
Order Capturing on SAP: Accurately capture and process orders on SAPensuring all details are correct and aligned with client expectations.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy is essential to avoid processingerrors and delays.
Critical Thinking: Ability to assess situations identify discrepancies andapply sound judgment to resolve issues efficiently.
Excel Proficiency: Must be confident working with multiple spreadsheets andhave strong Excel skills (e.g. filtering formulas VLOOKUP pivot tables).
Thrives Under Pressure: Able to remain focused organised and efficientwhen working in high-pressure or fast-paced environments.
Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication both writtenand verbal is essential when dealing with internal teams and clients.
