Job Description

Corporate Employee Benefits Specialist

  • Full-time Claremont Cape Town or Johannesburg
  • Salary: R16000 R20000 per month (depending on experience) uncapped commission
  • Language Requirement: Fluent in English and Afrikaans


A dynamic and purpose-driven organisation is seeking a confident and highly professional Corporate Employee Benefits Specialist to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a passion for building relationships closing high-value deals and making a tangible difference in the lives of working South Africans through meaningful insurance solutions.

This position is focused on acquiring high-value group insurance clients across a range of industries offering tailored employee benefits designed for mid-sized to large companies. You will be responsible for sourcing your own leads engaging decision-makers and delivering solutions that support workforce protection and wellness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Identify and engage companies with 50 to 2000 employees across sectors such as manufacturing logistics business process outsourcing hospitality and retail.
  • Lead Generation: Independently generate at least 75 percent of your leads through platforms such as LinkedIn professional networking events industry seminars and direct outreach with some support from the marketing team.
  • Client Acquisition: Build and deliver persuasive tailored presentations that communicate the value of employee insurance solutions to business owners and executives.
  • High-Value Deal Closing: Focus on securing clients with monthly premiums of R10000 or more while ensuring long-term client satisfaction and retention.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain trusted relationships with clients to enable upselling opportunities and encourage client referrals.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospecting to client onboarding and implementation.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A completed formal tertiary qualification (diploma or degree)
  • A valid Regulatory Examination Level 5 (RE5) certificate
  • Proven experience in business-to-business sales preferably within financial services or insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and manage leads independently
  • Confident and engaging communication style with the ability to present solutions to senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite customer relationship management software and LinkedIn for lead generation

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for high-potential opportunities across South Africa
  • Valid drivers license and access to reliable transport


What You Will Receive:

  • A competitive basic salary ranging from R16000 to R20000 per month based on experience
  • An additional monthly allowance of R3000 to R6000 for the first three months to support initial business development and commission-building
