Software Project Manager (Remote)

ENVIRONMENT:

A Digital Marketing Services company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction quality execution positive team engagement and project profitability. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive the overall vision of their programs while maintaining a sharp focus on the finer operational details that ensure seamless delivery. The ideal candidate will balance big picture thinking with meticulous execution acting as the primary custodian of client commitments and internal delivery excellence.

DUTIES:

• Primary focus is on delivery execution and client satisfaction of signed work.
• Creation of estimates project schedules staffing plans; ensure timely completion through all phases; be escalation point for quality control issues; review
• Work with the Consultant/Programme Manager Lead and other team members on process improvements and other initiatives designed to improve the effectiveness and quality of delivery
• Able to build strong relationships within OpCos through quality work and thought leadership
• Able to effectively balance OpCo/Client needs and priorities with client needs and priorities
• Ability to effectively tap and work with partners to deliver overall solutions for their clients
• Strong project management skills and experience including budget/schedule development and management/oversight Resource management and forecasting Task and delivery management Risk identification and management financial management
• At least 5 years of experience managing people tasks and clients in an agency environment
• Experience with process definition and the ability to define solutions that will generate measurable results for the client
• Experience in WebDev and/or software and system development methodologies including Agile

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS degree with a major in marketing communications business or other closely related areas. PMP or Agile certification a plus. 5 years experience in Project Leadership or Digital Marketing Industry.
• Proven track record in a client-service environment including exposure to clients and ability to lead project teams. Agency experience a plus.
• Extensive project management methodology experience ranging from waterfall to Agile.
• Good understanding of emerging web standards user-cantered design optimization and search practices. Proven web experience and interface and architecture knowledge.

• Able to effectively lead and motivate large multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Strong Negotiation skills (especially contract negotiations) with both clients and partners
