Job Description
Hire Resolves client a wellestablished engineering consultancy specializing in electrical and mechanical systems design across commercial industrial and infrastructure sectors is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Draughtsman to join their dynamic team based in Cape Town.
Responsibilities
Create detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit (or similar CAD software).
Interpret electrical engineering designs and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
Assist engineers in updating and modifying design layouts during project development.
Coordinate with the project team to ensure design accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
Maintain and organize drawing databases and ensure version control compliance.
Perform site visits when necessary to verify design requirements and collect field data.
Requirements
National Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related technical drawing qualification.
Minimum of 35 years experience as an Electrical Draughtsman in the consulting or construction environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit MEP experience will be advantageous.
Solid understanding of SANS and other applicable electrical standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Good communication and team collaboration skills.
