Job Description

An exciting opportunity available within the Retail / FMCG industry for a Financial Systems Administrator based in Brackenfell Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the financial systems department in order to have accurate current and complete financial data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure up to date user access on the system.
  • Ensure users are setup and maintained on relevant systems.
  • To do regular equipment audits for the finance department.
  • Monitoring of various SAGE system integrations for sales and purchases for reporting purposes.
  • Communication to relevant parties regarding integrations.
  • Performing system reconciliations to reflect source system balances with financial system.
  • Assist users with system queries and fix data related system errors.
  • Assigning calls and assisting with first line support on finance systems ticketing system.
  • Execute adhoc requirements relevant to financial systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree) in Finance systems or Information systems.
  • 3 years experience in a Systems Administration role.
  • Exposure in the retail industry and previous Financial Systems Administration experience
  • Knowledge of GL account structures/Creditors/Debtors/Balance Sheet/Treasury.
  • Proficiency in the latest Microsoft 365 packages (Word Excel Power Point & Outlook) is an important requirement.
  • A strong systems orientation together with good numeracy skills financial acumen and the ability to apply financial principles to solve issues effectively.
  • High levels of drive and initiative and the ability to work to deadlines and deal effectively with numerous issues and priorities.
  • Must have a structured work approach.
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail is vitally important.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to cope with pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle an ever-changing environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively across functions to reach common goals.
