Core Transmissions Team Lead Engineer (Western Cape: Stellenbosch)
Compensation:R800KR1 400 million per annum

The opportunity that awaits you:
Are you a seasoned Core Transmission Engineer ready to step into a leadership role Were looking for a hands-on results-driven professional to lead and grow a high-performance team managing critical national infrastructure.
In this role youll oversee the national Core IP and transmission networks drive high-level architecture and deployment and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of connectivity.
Your key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Core IP and transmission networks nationally
- Develop and implement architecture and design plans for IP Core and transmission network
- Oversee network implementation from planning to deployment
- Configure and deploy high-performance routing and switching equipment
- Implement network security: ACLs firewalls IDPS & VPNs
- Monitor network performance bandwidth use & fault detection
- Conduct client visits and ensure consistent high-quality technical service
- Ensure network infrastructure compliance
- Optimize traffic flows with QoS policies and performance tuning
- Guide project execution and technical planning
Our required expertise:
- JNCIP CCNP ITIL certifications with a relevant degree
- 5 years experience in network engineering (ISP/FNO)
- 2 years experience leading a team
- Expert experience with JUNIPER CISCO & ARISTA equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of Mikrotik routers Layer 2 switching and Arista equipment
- Strong working experience with OSPF BGP and ISIS routing protocols
- Experience in Mikrotik MPLS deployments (advantageous)
- Familiarity with Mac OS X (a plus)
- Proven project management capability
