Job Description
An electrical engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for their head office in Nelspruit.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design and analysis for high-impact projects
- Review and approve electrical schematics layouts and documentation
- Collaborate with Project Managers Architects and other Engineers
- Oversee electrical system installations testing and commissioning
- Mentor and guide Junior Engineers and technical staff
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and safety standards (e.g. NEC IEC and IEEE)
- Contribute to budgeting scheduling and resource planning
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering roles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (preferred)
- Proficient in electrical design tools (e.g. AutoCAD ETAP Revit or similar)
- Strong understanding of power distribution control systems and grounding
- Excellent problem-solving leadership and communication skills
