Role Overview: You will research and analyze shares listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) identifying investment opportunities that Portfolio Managers can use to add value to clients portfolios. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct full research responsibilities including detailed company and sector analysis of JSE listed companies.
Assimilate and share broker information annual reports and insights from company visits.
Actively participate in investment team discussions and debates.
Present well-founded investment recommendations to the team.
Track the performance of companies held within the firms portfolios.
Ideal Experience:
Up to 5 years experience as an Equity Analyst in asset management or stockbroking is an advantage but not a requirement.
Experience building financial models to support and test investment decisions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Chartered Accountant (CA)
Business Science Degree preferably with a finance focus
Engineering background
Actuarial qualification
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
Other relevant Post-graduate qualifications
