Job Description
An antenna company in Midrand is seeking an RF Engineer to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop RF circuits antennas filters and front-end components
- Conduct RF simulations and system-level analysis using tools such as HFSS ADS CST or similar
- Test and validate RF performance using spectrum analyzers network analyzers and other lab equipment
- Troubleshoot RF issues and implement solutions for signal integrity EMI/EMC and interference
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on hardware and systems integration
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports
- Ensure that designs comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards (e.g. FCC ETSI and MIL-STD)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering RF Engineering or a related field
- Experience in RF design development or testing
- Strong foundation in RF theory transmission lines impedance matching and RF propagation
- Experience with RF design and simulation tools (e.g. CST HFSS ADS and AWR)
- Familiarity with wireless communication standards (e.g. LTE 5G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
