Job Description

Would you like to be part of a valuedriven commercially oriented international environment where we enable global trade every day We are looking for a Area Inventory Manager who will manage all activities and employees involved in inventory planning and management within the Maersk contract Logistics business including strategy planning execution quality assessment process improvement and issue resolution. Has accountability for quality execution of services and compliance with agreed customer SLAs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive and implement global inventory management standards best practice and control measures within the Contract Logistics business (Warehousing Distribution and Cold Storage)

  • Oversea and maintain inventory accuracy and integrity across all SAI warehouse operations.

  • Manage overall inventory governance and reconciliations between physical stock WMS and Customer ERP.

  • Participate in business planning activities of the operations and provide input to drive Continues improvement and Operational Excellence

  • Develop bestinclass inventory management processes and standards in the SAI Area

  • Create and apply inventory policies with our customers to ensure inventory risk mitigation correct stock levels and demand planning

  • Execute on supplier replenishment planning and make order recommendations to customers (within Inventory Policy parameters)

  • Complete analysis and make obsolete stock recommendations to clients

  • Support operations teams and site inventory managers to develop and implement inventory processes and KPIs in order to support performance management in the area across Contract Logistics

  • Develop Inventory Subject Matter expertise (SME) within our Contract Logistics operations.

  • Support stock take planning and execution and oversee Inventory audits and compliance requirements

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 510 years of experience working in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

  • 35 years experience working in inventory management

  • BCom qualification

  • Qualification in a financial discipline advantageous

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Experience in people management

  • Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Standard Work Instructions (SWI)

  • Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

  • Experience in Inventory and Planning Optimization tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong collaboration and change management skills

  • Selfstarter fastlearner and ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Strong data analysis and MS Office skills

  • Fluent in English
