Job Description
Introduction
Our client is currently seeking a Data Streaming Platform Engineer to help design develop and maintain high-performance data streaming infrastructure that fuels real-time decision-making across our global operations.
Youll work with cutting-edge technologies to power connected vehicle systems predictive maintenance manufacturing analytics and more. This is your chance to influence the data backbone of one of the worlds most innovative companies.
Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Sound knowledge in Kotlin Java or JavaScript or Python or C#
- Familiarity with Microservices Architectures Cloud Architectures or Container Architectures e.g. Docker
- Experience in developing solutions on public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Experience with Container Orchestration Platforms e.g. Kubernetes
- Sound experience in developing backend applications and services
- Architecture and Interface Design
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented work behaviour in a distributed team
- Experience of agile methodologies particularly Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools (e.g. GitHub GitLab Terraform Ansible)
- Fit for business purpose mind-set i.e. the solutions provided must meet the business goals
- Understanding of integration between different technologies
- Coordination between development and support environments
- Assisting with the business cases
- Requirements management:
- Eliciting requirements
- Translating and simplifying requirements
- Document requirements in appropriate format depending on methodology followed
- Planning and monitoring
- Communication
- Assist with identification and management of risks
