Job Description
The Senior Communications Manager will be responsible for shaping and executing internal and external communications strategies to enhance OM Banks brand build stakeholder trust and drive engagement.
This role requires a dynamic leader with excellent storytelling abilities media relations expertise and a deep understanding of the financial services landscape.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Strategic Communications
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with OM Banks corporate vision and objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on messaging brand positioning and reputational risk.
Media & Public Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets journalists and industry influencers.
- Craft compelling press releases media statements opeds and talking points.
- Oversee proactive and reactive media engagement to support positive coverage and manage issues.
Internal Communications
- Drive employee engagement through effective internal communication campaigns.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership on change management and organizational announcements.
- Manage communication channels including intranet newsletters and town halls.
Content Creation & Brand Messaging
- Oversee the development of highquality content for multiple platforms (web social media print events).
- Ensure consistency in tone style and messaging across all communication channels.
- Lead speechwriting and executive messaging for senior leaders.
Crisis & Issues Management
- Prepare crisis communication plans and serve as a key point of contact during reputational challenges.
- Coordinate with legal compliance and executive teams to manage sensitive communications.
Digital & Social Media Strategy
- Partner with digital teams to amplify messaging across social and owned media platforms.
- Analyze performance metrics to optimize content and communication tactics.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Communications Public Relations Journalism or related field
- Masters preferred.
Experience
- 710 years of experience in corporate communications preferably in financial services or a highly regulated industry.
- Proven experience managing media relations crisis communications and executive visibility.
- Exceptional writing editing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.

- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with ESG/sustainability reporting and communications.
- Familiarity with communication measurement tools and analytics.
- Multilingual skills or international experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
