Job Description
Key purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Scrum Master to join our Bank project team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in API development and integration with opensource APIs. The candidate should also have prior corporate or commercial experience in delivering projects within an Agile environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Facilitate and coordinate Agile ceremonies including daily standups sprint planning sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Ensure the team follows Agile principles processes and practices.
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile methodologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including business analysts developers and QA engineers to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Remove impediments that obstruct the teams progress towards achieving their goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Maintain project plans backlogs and sprint goals.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
- Experience with API development and integration with opensource APIs.
- Knowledge of backend integration technologies such as ESBs SOAP and messaging systems.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience working in a corporate or commercial environment preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Excellent communication collaboration and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve conflicts within the team.
Key skills:
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and related technologies.
- Understanding of database design and performance optimization.
- Experience with cloudbased platforms such as AWS or Azure.
