Job Description
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for the group in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
- Analyse financial results trends and KPIs; provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process across all business units.
- Prepare rolling forecasts and variance analysis.
- Assist senior management with strategic planning through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Manage group-wide cash flow and working capital.
- Monitor banking facilities debt covenants and foreign exchange exposure.
- Optimize capital structure and support investment decisions.
- Liaise with external auditors for the annual group audit.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Implement and monitor internal controls across the group.
- Promote financial best practices and knowledge-sharing across the group.
- Enhance financial systems processes and reporting tools for efficiency and accuracy.
- Champion digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.
- A relevant tertiary degree would be ideal (Accounting Finance etc.).
- A full CA(SA) / ACCA or equivalent.
- 10 years experience in financial management.
- Exco-level experience and cross-functional team collaboration skills are advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial analysis for funding requirements of non-profit programs is needed.
- Skills in budget and financial management and business acumen are essential.
- Strategic and analytical thinking alongside emotional intelligence are important attributes.
- Strong ethical standards adaptability and leadership abilities are necessary.
