Our client is looking for an accomplished Data Engineer to join their Feature Team focused on Purchasing and Supplier Network: Volume and Capacity Management.
This role calls for a hands-on expert with deep experience in data science mathematical modeling and advanced analytics infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is both a technical leader and a problem solver who thrives in complex environments and delivers strategic data-driven insights and scalable machine learning solutions.

EXPERIENCE: 6-8 Years related working experience

Qualifications
10 years extensive experience within the data science industry in a fast-paced and complex business setting and with leading teams
Extensive experience in Machine Learning solving business problems
Masters degree (related to data engineering statistics mathematical modelling)
Preferable PhD Degree (related to data engineering statistics mathematical modelling)
Strong background in mathematics and good analytical and problem-solving skills
Data Science and Mathematical competency
General AWS experience in the DataScience / big data context
Ability to code in Python and R
Familiarity with ecosystem components including:
Hadoop Map Reduce Spark Hive Sqoop Pig HDFS HBase Cassandra ZooKeeper Oozie Hue Impala and Flume
Implements analytical algorithms for mixed integer linear programming problems
Responsible for large-scale calculations of core datasets used in a production environment
Deep understanding of mathematical models and statistical frameworks for machine learning optimization
Operates effectively in large-scale parallel computing environments
Discovers insights and identifies business opportunities using algorithmic statistical and mining techniques
Drives innovation by leveraging extensive data to propose cutting-edge IT solutions
Establishes accurate and scalable analytics systems
Interprets the results of statistical and predictive experiments and regression analysis and integrates this into complex business processes
Conducts customer specification studies gathers requirements and translates them into end solutions through system design
Provides full lifecycle development deployment and operational support for Big Data solutions
Collaborates with team members to automate and deploy analytics solutions into Big Data clusters
Uses Sqoop to import/export data between HDFS and relational databases
Codes and tests standardisation normalisation extraction loading and AVRO models for data filtering and validation
Installs configures and utilises advanced Big Data ecosystem tools
