Our Client a market leader in fine jewellery is seeking to employ a Consultant to join their ever winning team

A Jewellery Consultant plays a vital role in creating memorable customer experiences by assisting clients in selecting and purchasing fine jewellery. This role requires a balance of sales expertise in-depth product knowledge and exceptional interpersonal skills. Jewellery Consultants provide tailored guidance educate customers on jewellery care and trends and ensure seamless transactions while upholding the brands standards of luxury and service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

  • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming environment.
  • Engage with clients to understand their preferences needs and special occasions.
  • Build lasting relationships through follow-ups and personalized service.

2. Sales

  • Present and demonstrate jewellery pieces with confidence and expertise.
  • Guide customers through the buying journey from selection to purchase.
  • Achieve individual and store sales targets through upselling and cross-selling techniques.

3. Product Knowledge

  • Maintain a deep understanding of diamonds gemstones metals and jewellery craftsmanship.
  • Stay current on fashion trends new collections and brand-specific offerings.

4. Inventory & Visual Merchandising

  • Assist in inventory management stock replenishment and product counts.
  • Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and in line with brand guidelines.

5. Administrative Duties

  • Process sales returns and exchanges accurately using POS systems.
  • Complete necessary documentation for warranties repairs and special orders.

6. Client Education & Support

  • Advise customers on jewellery care cleaning and long-term maintenance.
  • Support services such as minor repairs sizing and custom design inquiries.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills Ability to connect with diverse clients and build rapport.
  • Sales Acumen Proven ability to close sales and meet performance targets.
  • Attention to Detail Accuracy in handling transactions documentation and product presentation.
  • Strong Product Knowledge Passion for jewellery and understanding of materials craftsmanship and trends.
  • Problem-Solving Skills Resolve client concerns with professionalism and tact.
  • Adaptability Comfort in a fast-paced client-focused retail environment.
  • Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience Previous retail or customer service experience preferred; luxury or jewellery sales is a plus.
  • Bonus Qualifications Tertiary studies are an added bonus
