Our client is looking for a Fixed Assets Administrator to ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed assets in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards while collaborating with key stakeholders and delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
Verify completeness and accuracy of information submitted for asset capitalisation.
Create and capitalise assets in the Fixed Asset Register.
Create and maintain Material Resource Number (MRN) records.
Ensure all assets are physically linked to correct business locations.
Conduct compliance reviews of expense vs. capital requisitions aligned to IFRS and internal policies.
Record asset transfers retirements and disposals accurately and timeously.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with service expectations and policy requirements.
Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Manage relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Consult with stakeholders to define and manage delivery timelines.
Promote knowledge-sharing and facilitate skills transfer within the team.
Support a culture of team spirit and customer-centric service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate in Accounting or related field).
Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative role preferably within Finance or Asset Management.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g. IFRS).
Experience working with fixed assets or asset registers.
