We are recruiting for a NetApp SAN Certified Engineer on a 24 months contract. The incumbent will play a key role in the installation of new NetApp SAN Storage servers maintaining optimal storage infrastructure supporting backup and recovery operations and ensuring seamless data services across heterogeneous environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and 24/7/365 remote support as required (Hybrid work-model).
- Conduct proactive maintenance and health checks on the NetApp SAN environment.
- Monitor storage systems to ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical applications.
- Ensure data protection quick recovery from data loss or corruption and data integrity during outages.
- Document for ongoing operations and future scalability.
- Implement SAN zoning best practices and presentation of storage to heterogeneous servers.
- Keep server HBA MPIO configuration and driversup to date.
- Plan and execute firmware upgrades and system patches with minimal impact aligned with the organizations change control processes.
- Perform data restores within the 4-hour maximum restore time window.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to align storage operations with organisational goals.
- Provide technical documentation reporting and knowledge transfer sessions.
Minimum Qualifications and Certifications:
- NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) - Required
- Vendor certifications for supporting platforms (advantageous):
- Microsoft Windows Server (MCSA/MCSE or equivalent)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Linux or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in enterprise storage environments with a focus on NetApp SAN technologies
- Proven experience in SAN architecture implementation upgrades and performance tuning
- Strong background in backup and recovery planning.
- Experience supporting heterogeneous operating systems (Windows Linux VMware).
