Job Description
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Shift Manager to join our Cold Store / Logistics / Dispatch Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing operations during their shift ensuring efficiency safety compliance with standard operating procedures and maintaining high levels of team motivation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Cold Store Logistics and Dispatch operations during allocated shift.
- Ensure adherence to operational plans schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor and maintain product quality accuracy and safety standards.
- Effectively lead supervise and motivate shift staff to achieve performance targets.
- Maintain compliance with health safety and hygiene regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time dispatch.
- Report operational issues challenges and improvements to management.
- Matric / Grade 12 (relevant logistics or supply chain qualification advantageous).
- 35 years experience in a cold store logistics or dispatch supervisory/management role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good understanding of cold chain management health & safety and quality control processes.
- Ability to work shifts including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Proficient in MS Office and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to continuous improvement.
