An exciting opportunity has opened for a Municipal Account Manager to join a dynamic team supporting financial oversight and utility account management on behalf of a client in the Johannesburg Region.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical abilities and a background in finance who thrives on structured processes and effective communication with stakeholders. Under the guidance of the Regional Controller the successful candidate will play a key part in managing municipal utility accounts from account analysis and reconciliation to payment processing and client reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analysing and reconciling municipal utility accounts
- Processing payments through an accounting system
- Communicating with municipalities and clients
- Monitoring municipal billing accuracy
- Participating in audits reporting and projectrelated tasks
- Attending client meetings and preparing relevant documentation
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial role
- Experience with municipal accounts and utility management
- Proficiency in MS Excel Word and accounting software
- A qualification in BCom Accounting (preferred)
- Additional qualifications in utility auditing or data analysis (advantageous)
