Our client in the telecoms sector is looking for a Junior Engineer with application support experience. This is a contract role for 6 months.
Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically adept Junior Engineer with Application Support experience to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for technology strong problem-solving skills and experience supporting enterprise or SaaS applications. You will be responsible for monitoring application performance resolving technical issues supporting end-users and working closely with development and QA teams to ensure a high-quality user experience.
Requirements: Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or equivalent experience.
12 years of experience in an Application Support or Junior Engineering role.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with application support tools and practices.
Experience with SQL for querying databases.
Basic knowledge of programming or scripting (e.g. Python Bash Java ).
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) is a plus.
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA Zendesk ServiceNow).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
