Job Description
- Independently develop and execute control system designs including control narratives and documentation for control and shutdown systems.
- Design field instrumentation documentation such as data sheets loop drawings and bills of quantities.
- Create communication designs for control systems and data networks.
- Develop fire and gas system designs and associated documentation.
- Create and maintain P&IDs reflecting control and instrumentation elements.
- Review and approve designs from team members to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensure all designs meet applicable SABS / IEC standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Engineering (.) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Professional Engineering registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of C&I design experience with at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of SABS and IEC standards.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and team collaboration skills.
