A leading national organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a fixed term of six (6) months. The successful service provider will be responsible for overseeing the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) operations and delivering key strategic and operational ICT functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a strategic ICT vision aligned to the organisation s strategic objectives clearly articulating how ICT can support the current and future state.
Establish and maintain technology architecture and make informed technology choices to ensure system availability and reliability.
Review and finalise the current Enterprise Architecture and develop an ICT Turnaround Strategy.
Provide guidance to Executive Management on leveraging existing and emerging technologies for cost-effective reliable and efficient service delivery aligned with organisational resources.
Conduct an analysis of the current ICT infrastructure and human capital capabilities. Deliver an As-Is and To-Be report with an implementation plan aligned to strategic goals.
Provide strategic leadership in the procurement and installation of new technologies including but not limited to High Performance Computing systems.
Identify innovative technologies and solutions to enhance organisational performance.
Evaluate current ICT security measures and provide a comprehensive gap analysis with recommendations to meet regulatory and industry standards for protecting digital assets networks and systems.
Oversee contracts and service agreements with IT vendors and service providers.
Requirements
A Master s degree in IT Management Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a CIO or IT Director role with demonstrated expertise in:
- IT infrastructure and applications
- Cybersecurity
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- Data management and data protection practices
- Cloud computing data analytics and SaaS solutions
